Life Skill Programs With A Difference
Today’s quantum youth live in a hyper-connected world where lifelong learning skills are in greater demand than schools are equipped to deliver. More than a quarter century ago, QLN founders built their learning and life skills business on three converging needs:
• A positive way to experience strengths earlier in life
• Acquiring “learning-how-to-learn” skills to process accelerating data
• A better way to keep up with young brains rewired by mega-sensory stimulation
Quantum Learning Network’s (QLN) learning and life skills expand the definition of literacy from reading, writing, ‘rithmetic’ to reading, writing and readiness. QLN’s differentiating product is readiness through personal and academic excellence.
QLN programs hold the keys to shift a youth’s self-perception into positive mode, unlock a teacher’s passion, revive a parent’s hope and dynamically focus an adult’s inner vision.

GETSMART – Confidence with Language Program
This GET SMART Program will be tailor-made for the school, group or organisation, using quantum learning teaching methodology, to give confidence to all learners.
This program is designed to build the student’s confidence to tackle challenges in language learning and adapting to an immersed English environment as well as challenging and stimulating first language learners in confidence in communication skills with peers and teachers.
Goals
The goals for the different learners are dependent on their previous language abilities:
1. Enrichment – L1 (First language speakers)
• Enhance their confidence and flow with English
• Enhance their confidence for performances and public speaking
• Develop creative skills in speaking, composition and story telling
2. Remedial – L2 (Second language speakers)
• Develop their confidence and flow with English
• Provide extra support in pronunciation, grammar, and comprehension, with the
four aspects of the language; writing, speaking, listening and reading
3. Basic – EFL (English as a Foreign Language)
• Develop their use and understanding of everyday (Classroom/School) English
• Give them a foundation in the four aspects of language; writing, speaking,
listening and reading
• Provide them with communication tools to enable them to be more effective
learners in the English Speaking environment
Delivery and Content
The delivery of the program is interactive, physical, and personal to the needs of the individual and the group. The program aims to build realistic confidence in an individual through Adventure Based Learning (ABL). Facilitators deliver the workshop information in a variety of ways, including the use of Accelerated Learning Techniques, Emotional Social Learning and Experiential Based Activities.
Why have Confidence with Language Program?
All aspects of the school; environment, operations, curriculum and assessment, requires a student to be have a functional English ability to achieve and succeed.
The greater the number of non-English speakers in the school environment, the less likely there will be success within the whole cohort. As teachers' time is taken away from teaching the whole group to supporting the non-English speakers.
If we can provide a foundation of language for the non English Speakers, and develop the comprehension of the remedial and second language speakers, this will improve the results for the year group across curricular.
The first weeks of the school year is the best place to start this change in development. This is the phase of the school life where students are unlikely to be retaining subject matter, as they are still coming to terms with their environment. Not until a student (any student) is comfortable in their environment will they begin to learn the subject material.
